Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 August 2026

This explains what we hold, why we hold it, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, message us and we will answer in plain words.

Who we are

Ordello is operated by Alornix Technologies Pvt Ltd, Kochi, Kerala, India. For any question about this policy, reach us through https://ordello.in/contact — the support address is on that page.

What we collect

Two different things, held for different reasons.

  • Your account data — your name, business name, email, phone number and billing details. We need these to run your account and to bill you.
  • Your business data — the orders, customers, products, payments and reports you create inside Ordello. This is yours; we hold it so the product works.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and to find faults.

Your customers' data

When you add a customer to Ordello, you are the controller of that data and we are the processor. We store and process it on your instruction, to deliver the features you use — sending an order update, showing an order link, or producing a report.

We do not sell it, rent it, or use it to market to your customers. We do not use one seller's data to benefit another.

How we use it

Only for the following:

  • Running the features you asked for.
  • Sending transactional messages — order updates, payment confirmations, receipts — on your behalf.
  • Billing, invoicing and preventing fraud.
  • Support, when you contact us and we need to look at your account to help.
  • Aggregated, anonymised statistics about how the product is used, which never identify a seller or a buyer.

Who else sees it

Only the services required to actually deliver the product, and only the minimum each needs:

  • Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — to deliver WhatsApp messages you send.
  • Razorpay and Cashfree — to process payments, where you have connected them.
  • DigitalOcean — hosting and storage, in data centres we select.
  • Anthropic — where you use the AI agent add-on, conversation content is processed to generate replies. It is not used to train models.

Where it is stored

On servers we control, with each seller's business data in its own database rather than mixed into a shared table. Backups are taken regularly and encrypted at rest.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. If you stop paying, your account moves to the Free plan and your data stays — we do not delete it as a lever to make you pay.

If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your business data within 30 days, except records we are legally required to retain, such as invoices for tax purposes.

Your rights

At any time, on any plan including Free, you may:

  • Export your customers, orders and products to a spreadsheet.
  • Correct anything inaccurate, directly in the product.
  • Ask us to delete your account and its data.
  • Ask what we hold about you and receive a copy.

Cookies and measurement

The Ordello application uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. It sets no advertising cookies.

This marketing website uses two measurement tools, and it is only fair to name them:

  • Google Analytics 4 — anonymous statistics about which pages are read, so we know what to write more of.
  • Meta Pixel — so that when we run an advertisement we can tell whether it brought anyone, and avoid showing it again to people who already signed up.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you in the product before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
