Built in Kochi, for the shop that runs out of a living room
Most business software in India is a translation of something written for a company with a warehouse and a finance team. Ordello was written for a person who takes the order on WhatsApp, packs it on the dining table and hands it to a rider they know by name.
Why we built it
The notebook was the software
We kept meeting sellers with the same setup: WhatsApp for orders, a notebook for the list, a UPI QR taped to the counter, and a rider who came back at night with a pocket full of cash and a rough idea of what he had collected.
Everyone was selling them the chat. Automate the reply, build a flow, send a campaign. Nobody was helping with the part that actually takes the hours — what got packed, what went out, who is holding the money, and whether any of it was profitable.
So we built the boring half. The half that runs after “order confirmed”.
How we work
Four things we decided early
Written down so they are harder to quietly abandon later.
Never take a cut
A commission means we earn more when you sell more without doing more. A flat price keeps us honest — we only grow if the product is worth keeping.
Never delete your data
Stop paying and you drop to Free, not to nothing. Every order, customer and product stays. Software that holds your history hostage is not software you should trust.
Say what it does not do
Our comparison pages name the thing the competitor does better. A seller who picks the wrong tool because we oversold ours is a refund and a bad review waiting to happen.
Price where sellers actually are
Free forever is not a trick, it is the plan most small sellers should be on. ₹799 is a real number for a shop doing ₹40,000 a month. Pricing that assumes a Western SaaS budget excludes the people we built this for.
